#ExplainAFilmPlotBadly

I do love the very idea of Twitter, how memes, ideas, jokes and all-around cleverness can suddenly “trend” for no better reason than a critical mass of people decide it’s worthwhile.

I was a particular fan of #overlyhonestmethods, a hashtag that allowed us scientists to joke about how we write science papers.

Today’s fun hashtag was #ExplainAFilmPlotBadly, wherein participants explain the plot to a well known movie…. badly.

After I tweeted my appreciation, the starters of the trend thanked me:
