Contest Time! Photoshop Me!
Last year, I was identified as one of my university’s “heroes of open access”, meaning that I am one scholar who vociferously champions the ethical practice of open access publishing (which comes at a price, let me assure you.)
To celebrate this event, I was invited to participate in a photo shoot with photographer Dave Weatherall. I only recently received Dave’s photos, which you can see here.
It was not lost on certain Facebook friends that the white background of these photos lends itself to easy Photoshopping.
So I hereby announce a contest! You are all welcome to photoshop any image from the photoshoot onto any background. If you’re a Facebook friend, send it to me that way. Otherwise, tweet it to me or contact me for my email address.
As they arrive, I will post the entries to this blog post. Haven’t decided what the prize is yet, or how long I will keep the contest open. But in the mean time, here are the current entries:
