 My freelance journalism career has been rewarded with a few cover stories.  Here they are…

 

The Oct 2012 issue of California’s India Currents Magazine included my feature article, titled “Breast Cancer – The Hidden Epidemic”, co-authored with Dr Ophira Ginsburg.

 

 

The Feb 2012 issue of California’s India Currents Magazine featured my cover story, titled “The Ethics of Surrogacy.” The article later won 2nd place in the 2012 Ethnic Media Awards, in the “Outstanding International Reporting” category, as determined by New America Media.

 

The July 2010 issue of California’s India Currents Magazine featured my cover story, titled “The Man Who Would Not Eat.”

 

 

 

The Feb 2010 issue of California’s India Currents Magazine featured my cover story, titled “Advantage India”, which was later syndicated byNew American Media.

 

 

The Globe and Mail included my full-page feature on 2nd generation immigrant experiences, titled “Which Am I, Truly.”

 

 

 One of the three cover stories of the July 2002 edition of California’sIndia Currents Magazine was my feature essay on US media coverage of the Kashmiri conflict.

 

 

The March 14, 2001, issue of Canada’s national newspaper, The Globe and Mail, featured my article on returning “Home to Guyana” on the front page of the travel section. The trip was made to receive the Guyana Prize for Best First Book.

 

The December 1996 cover story of California’s India Currents Magazinewas my feature on The Magic of India.
